This series of Arcturus children’s classics is a collection of affordable gift quality children’s literature that was released by Arcturus between 2018-2019. The books are presented in a sturdy slipcase and feature numerous bright illustrations throughout clearly laid-out text, most of which have been newly commissioned for the publications by contemporary artists.
The slipcases are about 7.5″ x 9″, the book bindings are sewn, and are rugged enough to stand up to handling by young children. The slipcase covers are illustrated with various elements from the stories, and the book covers feature a related but slightly different cover design. The size and design is similar to the slipcased classics series by the same publisher aimed more at an adult audience.

Thanks for the information! So I’d like to start collecting these, but this edition of The Secret Garden is currently unavailable in India since it’s out of stock. Is there going to be a reprint anytime soon?
Hi Shruti – I haven’t seen any plans for a reprint anytime soon, so it might be worth checking availability second-hand (I’ve seen a few on Abes and eBay).

Hi, actually the book The wind in the willows I illustrated it (www.tizianalongo.it)
Hi Darci – the books in this list are all hardbacks in a slipcase, very nice quality. Arcturus will also be releasing these same titles (plus a few more) in paperback around about Aug 2021 – I’ll add these to the list as well when I have more details.

Thanks for this list! Do you happen to know if they are planning on adding nee books to this collection?
Hi Talia – they don’t have any new hardbacks scheduled yet for this year, but they are releasing them in paperback with a slightly expanded set of titles (adding Black Beauty, The Jungle Book, The Little Prince and Treasure Island). I’ll update the list with the paperback titles when more details are available (publishing is scheduled for July-September 2021) – possibly hardbacks of the new titles could follow depending on demand.
Cheers, Dx
