Agatha Christie – Comic Book Series
The Agatha Christie Graphic Novels
On this page:
Introduction
It was of course the comic-loving French who first converted Christie’s best mysteries into bandes dessinées, or graphic novel format. Between 2002-2012, French publisher Emmanuel Proust arranged for 24 novels to be adapted into comic strip style in the French language by a number of comic book artists, and 21 of these have been translated into English. The French graphic novels have been reprinted in paperback by Pacquet, while the English editions published by HarperCollins are currently out of print.
The English translations of these graphic novels were carried out by Euro Comics India and spanned from 2007 to 2013, in collaboration with HarperCollins, London, UK. For collectors and fans, the allure of these graphic novels lies in their unique visual appeal. An interesting highlight is the introduction in Dead Man’s Folly, which was penned by Mathew Prichard, Christie’s grandson.
The striking duotone English book covers were designed by Nina Tara, while the original French cover designs are based on scenes in the graphic novel by the book’s illustrator.

Shelf Appeal
Standing tall on the shelf, these slim volumes can be arranged to make a pretty (albeit murderous) rainbow.
