Introduction
Every two years, the Movable Book Society honors the very best in paper engineering through its Meggendorfer Awards program. The 2016 award winner was Shawn Sheehy’s Welcome to the Neighborwood, a delightful exploration of the homes and habitats of seven woodland creatures. Other finalists included quite a few children’s books with French title That’s My Hat (Boisrobert & Rigaud), the German Small World of Paper Toys (Lo Monaco), an exploration of the world of the Disney Princess (Reinhart), fairytale adventure The Dragon & The Knight (Sabuda) and folktale The Mitten (Yeretskaya); some architectural titles with a look inside The White House (Foster), sites along Boston’s Freedom Trail (Price), and an international collection of landmarks in Legendary Routes of the World (Tavernier); a collection of tabletop bouquets with Paper Blossoms, Butterflies and Birds (Marshall); some 3D Dalí artworks (McCarthy); and two pop culture fantasy world explorations with Game of Thrones (Reinhart) and The Walking Dead (Zerkin & Hawcock).

The White House Pop-Up Book
