I like the idea of using special edition books for a wedding. Did you find any particular themes that resonated more with couples?

Oh, that’s a fantastic idea! Do you mean as a gift for the couple, or as a favour for guests? For guests I’d go with something small that’s easy to dip into with a love theme, like a book of poetry (B&N have a few cheap romantic poetry and love poems books in their collectible editions series), or quotes, or letter anthologies. Or you could theme tables, with different classic texts about love on each table (e.g. Pride and Prejudice, The Princess Bride, Much Ado About Nothing – all of these have plenty of special editions to choose from). If you’re talking about special editions as a wedding gift, I’d encourage finding out their shared reading interests and leaning into that – a beautiful set of a beloved series would be highly valued. Or if they’re booklovers who already have a lot of the books they love, look for some beautiful vintage books (gardening books, cookbooks, famous titles – all these look great on a shelf and are also usable). But if you don’t know the couple that well, then going for pretty classics is your safest bet – Folio Society make a great ‘heritage’ type choice here. The only thing I’d caution here is that you sometimes know one half of a couple better than the other and you want to try for something that both will enjoy if you can. Best of luck! Dx
