Introduction

A small set of 3 gothic fiction titles with covers designed by Carmen Di Mauro. The collection is intended to “celebrate gothic fiction written by women, for women” (which I think is code for “how can we remind dark romance readers that the original gothic classics are pretty good too? Let’s give them lovely contempory covers!”). Each book also includes newly comissioned forewords/afterwords.

The hardback books feature covers with a silver foiled design, patterned endpapers, decorative sprayed page edges (all 3 sides), foiled design on textured boards under the dust jacket, ribbon marker and decorative chapter headers. Books are sized at 15.6 cm x 23.4 cm (6.1″ x 9.2″).

The books were initially only available from the Wordsworth store, but were released more widely a couple of months later.
