The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a standalone fantasy/magical realism novel by V. E. (Victoria) Schwab. 

Two 2021 Special Collector’s Editions (also called the ‘Autumn’ edition in the UK) are being released on 5 October 2021, to celebrate the first anniversary of the book’s publication (the cynical reader might think that starting to release ‘anniversary’ editions after only one year is a bit of a publisher cash grab, but then again, no-one has to buy them…)

The collector’s editions are different in the US and the UK. US cover designs are very heavily typographic and include of Addie’s star constellation against a plain background. UK designs have the constellation more subtly included as gold circles, and also includes a forget-me-not floral motif.  Both of the collector’s editions include a new cover design (well, a design with a new color scheme at least), six new pieces of fan art to illustrate Addie’s story, and a gold ribbon bookmark.

The US edition also includes a ‘hidden cover‘ design stamped and debossed under the dust jacket, along with an exclusive note from the author. Barnes & Noble have an exclusive edition with an alternate cover.

The UK edition also includes new endpapers, two coloured text (black and blue), and gorgeous silver sprayed page edges featuring silver stencilled forget-me-not flowers.
